Spring Webinar 2025

April 11, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 pm
$25.00 – $75.00

As leaders in school-based multidisciplinary teams, school psychologists have played a significant role in
determining educational disabilities. In this presentation, Dr. Rebecca Resnik will cover issues related to
diagnoses associated with the results of school psychology assessments. She will cover how the Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual (DSM-5) and the WHO’s International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding systems
work at a general level. She will also discuss limitations to these diagnostic systems that can make diagnosis
challenging, particularly regarding issues related to culture, language, and marginalization. Dr. Resnik will
also provide an overview of practical factors to consider when making evidence-based diagnoses of Specific
Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and Autism. Note that this course will feature case
material, including copyrighted standardized test material. It should thus only be attended by those individuals
with appropriate qualifications (licensed or certified professionals and graduate students).
